I would say, very similar. Certainly aimed at the same market. We can supply just the shocks on their own if required, though they are better value as an assembled version.

Was looking at replacing the springs as well so this fits in nicely with my plans. Bookmarked for near future.

Are the above Group N rubber, as are the Whiteline kca335 version

Are you selling the Impreza widetrack struts less springs?

The mounts are a firmer grade rubber than the normal mounts. What shore rating i would need to confirm, but similar to Group N.

Currently we dont list the shocks seperately, though, there is no reason we couldn't. But, its not a monotube , so we would need to supply or advise that a new bumpstop would required when swapping over. If you are interested in them seperately, please drop me a PM or e-mail.

I had rear top mounts and a whole new set of rears replaced under warrenty that had the same issue so they have been replaced with Teins. Since posting on here about it i;ve also had several pm's from people with the same issues.

Widetrack fitment rear top mount knocking problems are well known

Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, it is well known on OE. Thats partly why we now use the early style top mounts as they are less prone to noise.

Obviously, not much point me offering to fix your issue as you now dont have them, but can only apologise for this issues you had.

was the full ezikit i had. It was a bit of a shame because can't fault your guys customer service. Replacement top mounts were sent out straight away, when that didnt work whole rear set got sent out which didnt sort it either.

bear in mind it was only a couple of months ago.

I like the early-style rear top mounts.

Have you always used the early-style rear mounts (and therefore early-style springs) on all your wrx, sti and widetrack sti rear struts? If not, when did you change over?

Going back to the rear mount noise:
Rear top mount ID:
15mm
Rear top mount - location dia on the rear damper rods:
14.88mm

Rear top mount location height, on the rear damper rods:
2.7mm - 5mm with later top mounts.
2.7mm - 12mm with early top mounts.

What measurements do you use?

No, our earlier kits used the late style mounts. The wide track kit has always used the early style. Cant say im 100% sure when the change was, but early 2017 id say.

Would need to check on the mount dims. Not back at warehouse now until 5th.

Wonder if the rear dead coils are still open around ride height? The noise being the coils coming into contact? Do you use any plastic isolator on the coils?
Or, the free length of the rear spring is too short?
Or, the shim stack is incorrectly set in the dampers?
Or, the damper rod is extending through the rear top mount. So you're locking off on the rod, not the mount - allowing a vertical movement? Mock up below:

I'd like to replace the suspension on my 2005 Forester 2.5XT with Pedders Ezifit Lowered or Sports Ryder. They look very different.

Can anyone let me know how they differ in terms of ride and handling?
