I have a 2011, Subaru Impreza with a steering wheel vibration so bad I chipped a tooth driving it. Below are links of the front end driver side and passenger side. What do you recommend needs replacing?

This is not the WRX model. It is a hatchback with four wheel drive, automatic transmission and the car has 174,00 miles.

You don't say what model of impreza it is, although from the pictures it's not a WRX STI.

First off check your wheels for damage, running out of true and get your wheels balanced.

Similarly check your disks for runout and that your calipers, pistons and pads slide freely.

They look as if they've had a hard life. The RH passenger side (LHD car - Germany??) seems to have spent a lot of time in water to be that corroded and dry (no lubrication showing).

Thanks for the response. It is not a WRX. It is a hatchback with four wheel drive. I am not sure of the sub model name.

I replaced the caliper on the driver side not the passenger side. The passenger side slides freely. I also replaced both rotors and did the brakes. I will replace that side this week. Do you see any failure with the ball joints etc? I would like to do some maintenance before things break. What common front-end things need replacing? What do you see that requires replacing?

After doing that work then I would do an alignment and balance.

The car has 174,000 miles so I think some maintenance could help minimize unexpected breakage.

Front wishbone/control arm bushes are notorious for wearing, particularly the rear one.

That's the one; you can see that it is perished. It makes sense to replace the front at the same time, and if you are able to use polyurethane ones, they add more control and last longer than the oem rubber ones

Can you help me find a tutorial video or website that describes how to do this? What do you think of the status of the other joints?

I'm not suggesting that the bushes are causing your vibration ; just good maintenance practice. Also, an alignment afterwards is wise

I am not apposed to replacing it. They look pretty bad to me. I require some help finding a tutorial on how to do this. Does the repair mean acquiring a new wishbone/control arm or just the rubber joint?

I made a video showing how to create a lower ball joint separator tool and how to use it to remove the lower ball joint on this and any other model Subaru with a similar construction.
