2pot - I'm VERY interested in your maths - how does 25% ontop of the screenprice of Japanparts website work out as a landed cost to UK shores...?

Shipping on struts @ approx 8-9KG each = approx £40-50 per strut.
Import duty @4% of cost price.
VAT @20% of true landed goods cost (Japan cost, Import duty and shipping included).

That simply equates to far more than 25% ontop of screen price....

ZANY - The Spec C RA is a different strut to the Spec C RA-R struts. They do share the same spring though...

Originality is where a high end limited edition car's true value lies.
Goods + delivery cost + 25% will be about right.

Are you sure the spec c ra and the spec c ra-r springs are the same?

I have a very nice set of S203 shocks, springs, top mounts etc (complete struts ready to bolt in) that i would consider selling for the right money.

Springs are the same as RA-R, just the dampers are slightly different - S203 are 4 way adjustable, whereas the RA-R are fixed. You could argue that the S203 are actually an upgrade over the RA-R items.

IF yours are adjustable then they are 100% not RA-R factory struts...

You seem to be going around in circles...

You even say in your first comment you have Spec C RA struts....

All 114.3pcd

The following numbers will be stamped into the circular body of the dampers. What you got @ZANY ?

S203
ST203104S140
ST203104S150
ST203604S140
ST203604S150
Then
ST203104S160
ST203104S170
ST203604S160
ST203604S170

The STI catalogue - STI Performance: Sports parts for Impreza GDB (model f-g) list the 160/170 struts as being optional, for sti and spec c, and stock fitment on the RA.

S204
ST203104S180
ST203104S190
ST203604S180
ST203604S190
Then
ST203104S181
ST203104S191
ST203604S181
ST203604S191

RA-R non-adjustable
ST203104S200
ST203104S210
ST203604S200
ST203604S210
Surely there was the option of adjustable damping on the RA-R as well?

Hi Guys,
Sorry to revive an old thread, the 2004 tuned by arai struts lower the car.
Do you know if the ra-r suspension lower the car as well?

Lower the car in comparison with what, a standard STi?
They will since the RA-R uses STi pink springs which lower the vehicle by approximately 20mm from memory.
