Default Widetrack STi prodrive suspension

Hi,

I have some suspension from a 05 Blobeye STi, I broke it a while back but never got round to posting them up. From memory the car had covered 60k, on the drive home there were no noticable knocks from car. These are available as collection only at the moment, I can meet between Junction 30 and 49 of the M4.

I'm after £100 collected, if you only want the springs then I can remove them from the struts for you.

Thanks, Rich.

Hi Rich,

I might be interested in these. Would you know if they'll fit a 55 plate Forester by any chance?

Cheers,

Dai

Hi Dai, I don't know sorry. If you have one off the forester already, I am happy to meet to compare them.

Subaru changed the design of the front knuckles for the 05+ STi (when they went 5x114.3), so the front struts wouldn't work for your Forester without serious modification.

The 55 plate is newer than 05, so you might be ok. I just don't know if impreza/forester suspension is interchangeable.

Richard, you will need to check the PCD size of the Forester as it isn't an STi model so it might well still be on the 5 x100 PCD size wheels, which means that the suspension won't fit.

I am no expert on Forester's so perhaps someone else with better knowledge can advise.

Yep it's 5x100 so looks like it's not going to fit. Thanks for the help chaps. Will keep looking for a good set of bugeye Sti shocks.

Generally the suspension is interchangeable as the Forester is based on the Impreza chassis, but the Forester never got the redesigned knuckles, so front 05+ STi struts won't fit regardless of year without slotting the mounting holes (dangerous!) or swapping the knuckles. The rears will swap over as-is.

Alternatively, he could buy your struts and swap the newer inserts into the older 01-04 strut bodies.

Anyway, free bump, GLWS.

I did some research when I sold my widetrack lowering springs last year and found that, the widetrack prodrive springs would fit early (non widetrack) blob STi shocks. But not bug shocks. They will only fit blob STI shocks tho not wrx.
