Hawkeye sti NO ENGINE
Hi
Due to a massive engine failure.I am gauging interest whether to sell as a job lot or build a complete new engine, so here goes:
'06 2.5 STI 43,000 miles NO ENGINE.
List of extras fitted on car
Syvecs ecu/Cal switch
AP racing front brake set
AP racing rear brake set
AP organic clutch
Full defi gauges(boost,oiltemp,oil pressure)
Sparco evo front seats
Buddy club low position seat rails
Inovit 18 inch alloys fitted with t1RS
Sti front lip spitter with rubber extension
Perrin wing stiffis
Forge alloy header tank
Tein strut brace
The above list are as new and have mostly been on the car for only 3000 miles.
The car is in excellent condition with a folder full of receipts. I will only sell as a job lot as i do not have the time or space to break. Pictures can be seen on my garage profile as car is not here at the moment. Looking in the region of £8,500 - parts alone with a 6 speed box would almost be worth this.

Thats a lovely looking car mate, why not get a repalcement engine and put it back on the road. Two hi spec engines on 22B at the min Sleeper Sy has a very very high spec EJ22G base short engine and 2 pumptone has a 2.0cdb linered and ready to go for silly money. The other option is another 2.5 from a car being broken could easily be put back on the road for under 2K or made into a monster for a bit more.

10K is well over the top. If you are able to do some of the work your self and look to source the parts from ebay and from the forums you will be amazed what you can find and the help you can get, try registering on 22B and put a post up on the wanted section basically stating that you need all the parts you need you will be surprised what some people have stored in their garages for a "just incase moment". Where are you based. Do some ebay searches for impreza's breaking you might even find a hawkeye being broken.
Good luck with what ever way it goes.

I wish I had the time, I work as a farm foreman and have to work long hours. The quote I have is to put my car back as it was. Unfortunately BHP costs a lot as you are aware.
But I do appreciate your comments, thanks

Have a bump.....but seriously 10k!!!???....put a thread up in general, i bet there is someone on here local to you who would re build that for you for a couple of grand with a few quid chucked his way for doing it...you may not have time, or the money to pay the pro's but a lot of enthusiasts on here know far more than Joe car mechanic and his £60 per hour labour costs...just IMHO....bumpty...

The engine is scrap, there is nothing left to rebuild. The money is not the issue, I have funds to rebuild. The turbo alone is £1500, the car was not standard and was running 460/480. I have spent a fortune on this car and think its time to move on.

As Banny says the heads will work fine and the syvecs can be configered no problem, the wiring changes would be minimal. But I wasnt suggesting that that package was ideal for your car I was pointing out what is available and the costs. As mentioned that is a high spec package which would be impossible to build for the price it is offered. There are good deals out there it comes down to whether you have time to search, time to work on the car and more importantly whether you want to.

I really do appreciate your input Archie, but where do you draw the line on the money you spend on a car? You should have been driving it when it let go - it literally exploded. I don't have the technical ability to do the work myself and with it costing another 10k to put the car back to how it was (which is not a bad quote considering the spec) I would sooner put this towards a new car. Two guys have offered the asking price and both understand how I feel as they have had a similar experience.
