Default DAMD steering wheel for Newage Impreza GD & FSTI SG

Following the sale of my beloved 2004 SG Forester STI this weekend I now have for sale a few parts that were removed before sale.

DAMD Steering Wheel. GD/GG Impreza Black Leather with Red Stitching - GD models pre 2007 This also fits all SG model Foresters 2003-2008 so long as you have a later type airbag.

This wheel can be used with newage impreza widetrack STI airbag or the hawkeye WRX airbag, as I have used it with both myself and on both the cars mentioned above.

Still in excellent condition as seen in the pictures. This makes such a difference to how the car feels to drive it's crazy. I promised myself I would never drive another Subaru without one of these wheels. Worth every penny.

Sadly this doesn't fit my 2014 Impreza, so now it's up for sale.

£350 including delivery to UK. No offers.

As fitted to my hawkeye WRX:

As fitted to my 2004 FSTI:

Thanks for looking.
Andy

Oh well. I'm gutted TBH as this is on my MUST HAVE list but it's just come at the wrong time. If there was a deal to be had with an STI airbag I'd see what I can do but with your helpful ebay links I assume you don't have one to sell in the first place. If it's still available in the not to distant future I'll be in touch but I bet it won't hang around for long. Even worse I'm local to you too (Beds/Northants). I'd wish you luck in the sale but I really don't want you to sell it!!!

I don't have an STI airbag to do a deal with I'm afraid and £350 for a DAMD wheel like this is VERY cheap on it's own. It will sell I'm sure of that.

Stop resisting!!!!!

It's honestly the best steering wheel you will own. Makes the car SO much nicer to drive. It transforms how it feels.

Can't belive this hasn't sold yet. I was looking for a while but they rarely come up. Ended up buying a new one last month if I hadn't I would have ripped your hand off. £350 is a bargain

Oh and as a final sign off just wanted to offer some info for those who may want it in future :

Neither myself nor Andy knew for sure whether a widetrack airbag is a direct swap for a pre- widetrack Blob, neither we’re we sure of whether there were any further swap issues such as horn parts, wires/terminal modding etc. I can confirm fitting a DAMD wheel to a pre- widetrack Blob is a direct swap from a old style grey airbag to a widetrack STI version, simply plug and play with no mods needed. Thanks to fellow member Dan1, Scott @ Scoobyspares and Matty @ MB developments for their help in confirming.

I love it. I bought it mainly for the look tbh but many had commented about how it makes the car feel after fitting and I have to agree it does make a difference in a positive way (as much as a steering wheel can).

It took a while to get used to though, the wheel is MUCH thicker than the standard wheel but now I’m used to it I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier!

Interesting, so what smaller diameter = less force or sharper steering or is there more to it than that?

Cheers
