What a beauty.

Has it had much work done since it was sold in 2015? Any upgrades, etc?

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the positive comments.

Turbotechnics even rated this as "the best all round Subaru they've come across" in both looks and performance, when they had the vehicle in for the Turbo replacement and service.

It's not had any other modifications done in my ownership as the performance and ride setup is perfect for a daily driver in my opinion. The only things I have had done in my ownership, other than usual engine oil and filter services every 3,000 miles are:-
  • 4 new Nankang road legal track tyres with stiff sidewalls.
  • 1 x New Rota Grid Drift Alloy (Replaced curb damaged one which comes as a spare)
  • Full paint correction and Nanolex Si3D ceramic coat. (Including Paint/Glass/Plastic/Tyre treatments).
  • Recent Coolant/Antifreeze change carried out by Richard @ FB Tuning.

Located in South Buckinghamshire.

Yes it is an STI.

Hope this helps.

All the best,

Michael.

Very nice, the wide arches look exactly how you would have expected the factory car to have looked like as standard.

The colour really sets off the lines, very nice indeed.

The only thing I would possibly change which is entirely down to individual preference is the bonnet scoop.

Very nice car, pretty sure it will sell in spring for fun.

One other point - I don't come on here a lot anymore as I feel the traffic on here is now almost zombiefied with most of the true enthusiast now not posting on here (I know there are still some good solid regulars still positing, but nowhere near what it was), that said you would probably be wise posting this up on other social media sites to ensure you get maximum visibility.

Thanks for the compliments Rob.

I too had that initial view of the bonnet at the time when I first purchased it, but being a complete light weight fibre glass bonnet, it slowly and surely grew on me.
Once seen in person it's not as predominant as it looks in the pictures, and actually compliments the rest of the kit. IMO ofcourse.

I make you right with regards to the dwindling population on here nowadays, as sad as it is to say that...
I myself have been extremely busy with work the last few months so have neglected putting any effort into the sale of the Subaru itself.
Thankyou for your advice, I was hoping to try and sell it to a fellow enthusiast so that it gets appreciated and cared for the way it should be. Just seems like as you say, unfortunately there isn't enough traffic on here these days to have enough interest and get a sale through Scoobynet alone.

I think it could be Autotrader next month...

All the best,

Michael.

There are lots of forums/groups on Facebook that still pick up enthusiasts, I am adamant there will be one just for Hawkeye Sales.

There is. There's an official hawkeye owners club group on there. Quite a few people in it as well.

Hi Ste, not having a go, but I no longer think this forum is any use for sales given that Faceweb and the likes have much more traffic which is what is needed for a sale - generally free to post too.

When you say owners club, you mean this one? - Last post 9 months ago: https://www.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5/602011-hawkeyes-stand-up-and-show-yourselves.html?highlight=hawkeye

Don't get me wrong I like Scoobynet for technical information and usually clear direct feedback from other members (bar the odd few), as well as reading through other peoples experiences and projects, but come to sales of "cars" I personally feel there are now better places to sell - That's not to say I'll not stop coming here and/or posting.

It is a good place for all Subaru, but it no longer has the web traffic - young'ns these days seem to have plenty cash, but generally use faceweb etc.

Robert.

Apologies, Inbox now cleared for those that have tried to Privately Message over the last few months. I have been away with work.
Yes, the Hawkeye will be available for sale, once normal life resumes in the country.

Best wishes and good health to everyone and their families at this torrid time. 🙏
