Rockabilly, what is the value if you break? Would you do this yourself or sell to a breakers for them to do? I’m sure you have weighed up your options but it seems surely as easy and as cost effective to drop your price to as low as you feel comfortable with to move it on than to break? I clearly don’t have all the facts but when I move cars on I tend to sell at a price that someone gets a lot of car for the money and I’m guaranteed an easy sale. Are you really going to get around your current asking price if you break it?
i don’t wish to offend you but do the maths add up? All the best either way.

wise words. but if you remove the 1000 pound front brakes, and a full rebush cost of about 400 also a new set of federals 400 and you pay me 13k then your getting a std car thats been fully rebuilt underneath for 11,200 which i think is about right.

also dont forget there,s a 340lph fuel pump and 1000cc injectors in there to.

I completely agree with regards it’s value and the sum of its parts, was just curious if breaking would truly be the most rewarding route financially for you. It’s a pain on occasions selling cars like these, only someone who is a fan knows what they are getting, yet everyone is after a bargain. It’s the proverbial rock and a hard place! As before GLWTS, would be a shame to see this broken but sometimes it’s the best/only option. If you do break yourself I will have the front brakes off you.

yes mate.started to bind on slow speed turns left or right in auto mode . if i scrolled the roller for the dccd to the bottom it was fine, stripped the rear of the box and removed the centre diff, then stripped the plates from the centre diff. 3 were worn and 3 were blue the others were fine. its at teg for rebuild atm. its a common fault on the dccd when they get to around 60-80k. especially if the car has had heavy track use.

https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2758951

when i spoke to teg in carnforth they said a few years ago they were replating alot of dccd centre diffs that had the exact same issue as mine.the clutch is electromagnetic but also semi mechanical too.thats as far as my knowledge on the centre diff goes sorry.but the plates closer to the front were well and truly blue..but it has had a beating. over a 500 laps of the ring in its time. so its worked hard ,especially as the spec c has front and rear lsd

I didnt realise they could be rebuilt as a new diff is around 3.5k. How much is it to get rebuilt?

ah ok thanks for the info, sorry to hijack your sale thread about it buddy.

if you do break the car i will take the porsche brakes and if you dont break her but fancy selling them then i would be interested in a swap with cash your way along with my recently refreshed brembo's in bright porsche paint
