GLWS. Genuinely surprised you are offering this for sale having followed your build thread; was your buzz the build rather than driving it?

Tbh I'm not sure.
Apart of me feels this car is to good for what I want to do. I just want a toy I can take tracking jump in pop out if I wanna go for a drive I don't need a daily so didn't matter if used or not.

But how can I take something this perfect on to track? I can't even park the thing in Tesco's without it being other side of the car park! She is perfect.

I am thinking sell car or sell the engine and just forge the 2.5 and leave alone. What I will save will buy me a little wrecker.

Genuinely I'm between a rock and a hard place.
I'm hoping someone will have a different mind set someone will want to just show her. I'm not that kind of person.

I promise to who ever genuinely is interested you won't find a better example.
This car just needs wheels refurb or I will sell my advan rs alloys at good price, these will finish car off.

You will not fault this car I promise.

I know how you feel; when I got my spec c hatch I was forever worrying about car parks, mileage, stone chips, odd engine noises...it was ruining ownership. The Mrs gave me a good talking too, life's too short, it's a car ffs, etc and I just changed my mindset, now really enjoying it. What will you have when it's sold, apart from the money? Someone else, driving your project. Unless you need the cash back, that's different.

If you decide you want to sell any parts, give me a shout. Such a shame as you've built an epic daily/track car/a road romping machine!

Good point from Hedge, I've had brand new cars before, but was always worrying about a scratch or kerb rash etc.

In older car you can just enjoy driving it with less concerns, lease is a good option too as you can get away with normal wear and tear.

Trouble with this one is you have already done some major mods, which IMO could reduce the value to someone looking for a mint example.

Get the engine in there and finish what is started i say.

I've just put it out there to see. If she goes she goes if not engine is going in!

I have every single nut and bolt removed. Including old fuel pump!! Not sure why but it's in a box!

Paul Is still building engine as planned TBH if I have no serious enquirer within a few days I will likely put suspension on ready for Monday then take Bedford. At this present time the car is fresh. Genuinely I think you'll need to go some to beat the condition of this car.

Time will tell we will see, I have messaged a protection wrap company let's see what they say! If she's meant to be with me then she will.

Let's be honest I doubt anyone will buy, it will end up built. But I've given the opportunity for someone to show and shine her. Preserve the stunning motor she is.

That looks like a lovely car for the money. Doubt most new cars are as good is that one.

I reckon hedgecutter has the right idea - change your mindset, keep it and enjoy it. £23k will buy you nothing anywhere near as nice....

Just my twopence worth...

This isn't about money I promise this is about a car that is too good for me to go and terrorise people on track with.
So I've had a message would I do a deal yes of course it would need to be a special Hawkeye or clean late sti type R no rust.

Engine at Paul I can sell in pieces or if built can go in a different car, that can be sorted later. We have a hold up with conrods so that's no issue.

So a few of my mates who have put the doubts in my mind and said I'm mad for doing it to this car... now say I'm mad for considering selling it!

I'd imagine in a few days I will bolt suspension on take on track Monday and that will be it the start effectively.

I know this may sound mad to a lot of people, it does to me. I look at this car a think she deserves more.
I sat and picked my buckets seats the other day! I know custom cages do a full cage.
When I say this is to stop me spoiling the car or an opportunity for someone to preserve her. Genuinely I mean that.

Ok So no Raffles!!

I advertised the car at £23000 since then I fitted the suspension
Ohlins coilovers
ISC control arms
Various cusco parts please see the thread!

I haven't adjusted the price to suit as well in two minds and still am slightly.
But a car I am interested in has popped up so need to sell
Or will do a deal with a car I want!

What car! Hawkeye ra it's the blue one on fleablay
If you have a white Hawkeye in epic condition or type 25 and you fancy a deal message me!

Price I will leave it at 23000 with everything on

Shame you're selling after all the time, money and love put into this car. It's beautiful.

I gave up trying to keep cars low mileage and mint years ago as I found I was keeping all my pride and joys under car covers or in garages and driving around in a diesel escort! Madness! I now drive the car I love daily and enjoy every minute of it while I have it!

If I'd sold my FSTI and had the extra cash laying around I'd have this in a snap. It's perfect and you've done a great job.

Before it goes I would be ever so grateful if you could take me out in it? I can then justify if spending a load more money on mine to make it quicker!

Well still here.

Had a new MOT last month she is at 9100 miles now.
She drives faultlesslystill zero oil useage and is a absolute pleasure. I am making more of an effort to use. Issue is I have an Evo 9 and 8p s3 too so am spoilt for choice.

I am considering selling At a garage. What does this mean? Basically you will pay a few 0000’s more but have opportunity for finance and 3/6 month warranty . If you are interested in this let me know and I will make a few more serious enquiries

What a car, I’m very surprised it hasn’t sold. If sold to a garage I’m sure it’ll get snapped up on finance.

Thanks Wull.

Tbh Its a half hearted sale.
People around me say to break as I have nearly everything standard (which is obviously included with the car) that way I’ll earn more.

But I’ve put many hours into her and feel she is an amazing package.

Eventually like everything else providing I keep mileage down she will go up in value I think 480 left!
