Default STI version 4 with STI 8 engine (bottom end)

1998 version 4 STI
White
Mileage is 126k , mixture of miles and KM, roughly 85k miles iirc last time i worked it out, import sticker is present on end of dash showing the import date and mileage

The last 2 owners were both people i knew, and 1 a good friend and an engineer, i only bought this car as i knew its history and knew how good the engine was.

The engine was replaced/rebuilt 3 years ago due to crank nocking.
The new build was done using an STI 8 short motor (bottom end) from a 40k car.
Everything that needed replacing was changed for new,
Full belt kit
New Clutch etc
Nothing was left untouched.
The build was done by my mate (engineer) and all parts were supplied by Sheffield Subaru Service, who can vouch for the quality of the build etc.

11 months MOT

The engine in this car is really really nice, and will be good for future modding, 450 bhp no problem.

Spec List...

Full 3" stainless exhaust
K&N Panel filter
VTA dump valve (original included)
Walbro fuel pump fitted last year
STI 8 steering wheel (needs new clock spring fitting/modding) included.
Alloy gear **** and leather gaiter
New floor mats inc boot mat
Clifford G5 alarm (2 keys and 2 fobs)
Crsytal headlights and sidelights
Phillips extreme vision headlight bulbs
LED sidelight bulbs
Chrome indicator bulbs
Sony mdx995 head unit with I-phone lead included
Infinity 6x9 rear speakers

Inovit GRA 18" wheels, just powder coated, new STI center caps and new black tuner wheel nuts, 4 budget tyres with loads of tread.
Laser tracking just done

Version 6 front bumper with genuine splitter and grill

New disks and pads less than 300 miles ago on rear
Front disks and pads changed last year including full caliper rebuild kit with stainless pistons etc.

New rad
New battery

I had a full service done at 125k by sheffield subaru service
This included
Brake fluid change
Millers cfs 10w50 oil and filter
New pfr6b plugs
New fuel filter
Gear box oil
Rear diff oil
Clutch fluid
Coolant
Ecu check (no faults found)
Hand brake adjusted

Only faults i can find with the car are the horn not working
And the clock display is really dull prob needs new bulbs
Front speakers sound crap, faded to rears so sound brilliant

Super clean classic, i think you would be hard pushed to find a cleaner one unless your willing to pay crazy money for a fully refurbished one.

Drives really sharp and solid and is really quick for a stock car

One thing I noticed on the motorway was a smell in the cabin from time to time, is this because of the decat?
