Talking 1999 JDM V5 Sti 379bhp Syvecs, SC40

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...h27qw/usedcars

Hi all, after 10 years of happy ownership I must move on so my classic Sti is up for sale. A hell of allot of car for the money and extremely well looked after. You dont keep a car for 10 years to abuse it. Does have a few minor scratches and a small dent by rear door and wheels could do with a refurb if you looked closely enough. It is a 15 year old car after all. Having had it for a quarter of my life i dont want to see it go but im hoping if it goes to someone from here they will look after it like i have.

Please follow the link to see advert. Any further questions please ask. Please only post if your genuinely interested and not for general comments.

Not interested in px and located in Surrey. Mapped by the great jgm rest in peace buddy.

Cheers

Good luck with the sale buddy, that looks to be a fantastic classic that has been very well looked after.

That's a huge amount of car for the money.

I'd advertise on here and Pistonheads to be honest. Ebay may also be worth considering.

Auto trader being clever automatically lists the model type after you put in the reg. So it went under a Impreza. Would not let me change it to Sti as these were only available in Japan at that time. So must only have uk cars on its database. Also listed it as a 2003 which is in fact the date it was imported not manufactured i.e 1999 V reg.

Might be a bit of an odd question, but would you be interested in p/x with my UK 2000 turbo?

Well done although it seemed very cheap for the spec and mileage/history.

Thanks for the comment. Believe me I thought it was cheap but its only worth what someone is willing to pay. 1 viewing after being advertised for 3 weeks! Will miss her

Was it a standard clutch/box/internals?

How long had you been running it for with that power?

I had a v4 Sti until a few months ago and wanted to go the same route as you, but was worried about the above bits.

Blimey that's impressive. Wish I had the money to of kept mine now. The classic STIs really are a great base to start with to quite cheaply get that sort of power reliably.
