Hey guys, how many bolts should the standard wrx spoiler have holding it on. Is it six?

On my car its got a sti rep spoiler which has only has 4 bolts. With 2 missing bolts where the rain is pissing in.

Thanks Mark

Car? Model? Year?

There are two on a classic under the rubber bump stops for the bootlid.

Or you could remove the spoiler and refit it with a layer of Tigerseal, or Sikaflex around the unused holes, sealing it and fixing it at the same time.

Cheers for the help. Well whoever had the car before me. Did a rubbish job at fitting the spoiler. There are two more holes but dont line up so they didnt bother to fit the bolts.

Well went to the body shop today and Im joining the de-spoilered brigade!

Nah it'll never fit mate you might want to give that one a miss

Not sure but I thought the genuine STI spoiler has 4 bolts same as the low rise spoiler. The replica ones have more bolts, maybe 7 or 8, but are heavier so probably require more to hold them down. Hopefully someone will confirm that though as I haven't got one yet
