DON'T DO IT

If you insist on doing it, it just unbolts from underneath/inside the bootlid and will most likely have some of that horrible black gooey stuff to remove too

Then you have some holes to fill in

i like the suggestion of getting a spare bootlid. love the pics...i really like this look. my wife doesnt but that link i posted in #1 is exactly the look i want to achieve. i know going spoilerless causes a bit of a divide in the scoob community but imo its such a good look, although i still havent seen one in the flesh yet, might change my mind when i do.

i like the despoilered look and now have it on my bug. wouldn't have done it to my own bootlid though - found one that had already had the work done!

No No No, my WRX (hawk eye) i just bought never had a boot spoiler fitted, had the car for about 2 days before ordering a hi level spoiler for it, imho it looks wrong without a spoiler.
As mentioned if you are going to despoiler it i'd get another boot lid so if you do change your mind in the future it's nice and easy just to swap boot lids over, just my oppinion

de-spoilered does look quite nice, especially if your car has been mapped up, gives people a little surprise when you put your foot down..... a wolf in sheeps clothing.
