Default Front Classic Emblem

Alright Krazy Kats,

I've seen on some nice looking red Classics a red Star Badges on the front grill and was wondering if anyone could tell me where to get my hands on one.

Would be much Appreciated

you can make one yourself mate

Take your black badge off, scrape the black paint off from the back (do not remove any of the silver from the stars)

Then re fill in the clear bit with red nail varnish

works a treat.

you can get them from Scoobyparts - Subaru Impreza parts and accessories but they're not actually red - they're pink.

To remove black paint, soak the badge in Wickes paintbrush cleaner for 30 minutes, the rub hard with paper towels.

Painting in any colour is dead easy, and as you're painting the REAR of plastic, brush marks don't show, and you get a good finish.

DO be aware that some paints, especially nail varnishes, fade quite quickly. Humbrol enamels, on the other hand, don't.

Just be careful when removing your badge.

My fiance removed the badge from her scoob no probs, didnt break or anything. She then performed the said mod as i described above and i now have a nice turqoise-ey badge (she had bought herself a new badge so her original black one was surplus)

BUT!! when i came to remove MY badge to replace with the one she had done i broke the edging a tiny bit.

Just be careful. Its easy and cheap to do it yourself, but if you break it and have to buy a replacement it could be costly (£10-£15 Scoobyworld or £30 Scoobyclinic)

Just a thought!

Cheers James,

Not sure if i need it though. Kathryn has a pink badge and i am using the one she made for me.

Unless, i did the velcro idea i thought of a while back, and have interchangeable badges?

But i dont htink i would get my badge off now without destroying the badge and my grille as i used fish tank sealent , lol.

Thanks for the offer anyway mate.

looking good. Next comes colour coding (doorhandles, mirrors skirts), then a bigger spoiler, then bigger wheels, then bigger brakes, then gauges, then,
...............
