Unhappy

I don't suppose anyone has a clue where I can find a different front bumper for an MY93 Legacy Turbo? It seems to be difficult to source a turbo front bumper, but NOBODY does ANY kind of styling mods for the car. I just want something a LIIIITLE bit more aggressive looking than the standard one, which now has a crack in it

Any ideas, folks?

not seen any for sale.

but the bumpers i have seen have all been one off's.

common one seems to be - standard front bumper with DTm splitters moulded to it.

there is one with a modified impreza front bumper.

apparently the impeza front bumper is slightly wider, so needs a few chuncks cutting out.

I'm working on a replacment front bumper for the leg, if we get enough interest i can have it reproduced.

I'm interested in other legacy owners views on what it should look like.

Think the best place to start is to look at similar shaped cars, whats available for them.

eg Rover 220 turbo coupe/hatch front bumper kits or oe.
these look good and its a similar looking car.

Have you tried www.takakaira.co.jp? Lots of bumpers and body kits for BG5 Legacys on there....

OK, most are for the 96/98 GTBs, but there should be some for earlier models.

Rich.

there seems to be some nice kits for the twin turbo.

Ive seen some sites that sell kits for the older legacy but they never have any pics.

Magnet, We currently sell bodykits for other jap cars.
Ive nearly finished an sti style front splitter taylored for the legacy, these will be on sale soon.

The information i'm looking for is: What do legacy owners (the people who want to buy the styling) want a replacment bumper to look like?

peace

TBH, as much like the factory one as possible, just "meaner".

For example, the standard one has that nasty roundy grille. A square car with a roundy grille? Square the edges of this off! In fact, you could even extend this grille up into the vents that are above/behind the number plate for a fairly big, VERY evil looking grille. Some subtle side vents in front of the front wheels would freshen the look of the car a lot too, as would removing the oversized and utterly ineffective headlight washer-jets.

The existing skirt needs colouring white (all round the car!) or something better on the front bumper. I feel it is essential it follows the lines of the kit on the car, though. These are stealth beasties, and it needs to look more modern without looking too max power. I have attached a very poor mockup I just did in paint shop pro. Just looking at it, I'm not sure if that grille is too much, and the factory numberplate mounting should be retained. Opinions welcome.

Apologies for the poor use of paint programs. Haven't used one before, and this took about 15mins!!!

Blimey...someones done an engine swap.

Not even sure I like the colour, and having the intercooler exposed is a wee bit much. If you like it....crack on

Anyone else got any ideas?

do you sell any 'direct replacement' styling bits for them???

wish list......

headlight conversion....

front bumper..

rear spoiler

rear lights.......

this would add enough subtlety to the wolf in sheeps.......... me thinks

Completely agree with ANYTHING that stops the back end of the saloon looking like a Rover 400.

Rear lights or maybe a different rear bumper, or just a different number plate panel would all benefit this car massively.
