Do you have to get a new Bootlid?

You used to have to buy a complete kit from Subaru with the bootlid, spoiler and stronger bootlid springs as the boot won't stay up with the spoiler on.

Not so anymore, as there is now a retailer in the States selling uprated torsion springs on their own. Only problem is the postage they charge is stupid.

The Subaru package was for convenience.
The new bootlid comes/came with the fitting holes already punched in the lid. AFAIK there is no additional difference to the original and all mentions of strengthened lid refers to the torsion bars.
The stronger Spoiler trunklid torsion bars can be ordered through Subaru ( RH - 57529040 and LH - 57529050) or from an EU supplier (https://www.originparts.de/index.php...9FG050&&lang=1 ) (no import duty to pay and VAT already paid upfront)

where's the best place to get the spoiler itself? I see there a new genuine ones being sold on eBay from a firm at 378 odds
