I'm going (to try) to make a lower front grill for my wagon.

I bought a piece which is 4mm x 9mm mesh, but then looking around the car park here, all of the plastic manufacturer grills have large holes and in set the doubt...

I think that what I've got should be fine, but thought it would be worth checking on here whether anyone feels that would restrict airflow. It shouldn't - after all it's still mostly spaces - but would something like a 10mm x 30mm be wiser? What size of mesh is on the pre-made lower grills?
