Default STI RA Box for STI v2 Box

A mate of mine wants to swap Gear boxes from his RA so he can have the taller gearing from my STI v2. With it being a track toy I quite fancy the idea of DCCD and short ratios.

What else will I need to swap with him. I'm thinking it would be Box, Rear Diff, DCCD Potentiometre (switch). Is there a loom that I need to rip out or an ECU. Also do I need the dash with the lights etc.

Most of all is it worth it.
boh and by the way both boxes are out and on the deck.

Sounds like I good idea to me......

Cheers Aston

You try finding those bits.
I am doing what you are doing right now.
But there is a solution from the USA too....about $450

He has all these bits available Graham, do you know exactly what it is I need.
Obviously the Box is there ready to go.
Is the loom generic and I just need the Pot switch and dash lights?
Or is it a seperate loom and has its own ECU?

His is off the road with a blown engine, so all the parts are available.

Cheers for the answer Graham.

I'm struggling my self, but:

Loom and knurled centre consol control wheel
Loom that might be bound in the car loom () that brings the brake switch, the throttle switch and i think the ABS in from somewhere.
The dash module with the dccd position indicated
Speed sensor
A dccd ecu in there somewhere too.

Or you can buy the Neetronics unit for $458 ish that does it all to non dccd cars with dccd gearboxes, which sounds much better to me, and it is programmable...

I think the going price for the above is 100/150 £, but with that pile do you have it all? Bet there is some connector/loom perculiar to Subaru somewhere!
(that you won't get...)

Graham.
