Too big a club for the league to allow it to happen. Now if it were, say, Bury, or Lincoln City..................
BTW: Porter to some Sweaty Sock team, Wellens to Donny........who have you got left?
And what did I tell you? Sharp to a club in the same league as us. Down by Christmas, I reckon.
By most folk's reckoning, we have £2.25 MILLION to spend. So far, we've spent £100,000. What's the bets the rest just disappears?

Agreed, the FA will see it as too much revenue lost and somehow push it through
Tell me about the porter situation, gone on a free aswell which is even more annoying, some stupid loophole in the Bosman ruling let him get away with it, hes only gone for the money, same as Wellens, offered £1000 a week more at Doncaster than what we could afford (plus his signing on fee) so we didnt have a chance at keeping him.
We have snatched Kalala from Yeovil though along with a fee for rat boy (Mark Allot from Chesterfield) both are good signings in reality and should give us more fight in midfield. Upfront we have splashed out cash for Craig Davies from Verona and Lee Hughes so we aint short of quality. Think we still have what it takes.
Looks like your right about what money does at your club the £2m you got of Sheff Utd is covered by the 25% sell on clause aswell though dont forget, thats only £1.5m you have him pocketted for. Still better than what we got for Porter
Think your stuck in the same boat as Blackpool really, not a club that looks ambitious enough to entice any big names to keep you alfoat. I do hope you stay up though next season

I hope we stay up too, but I won't be holding my breath.
So far we have £1.5 M for Billy Sharp, £500,000 for Andy Keogh, and £250,000 compensation for Brian Laws........but they could have had him for nowt if it was down to most Iron supporters
We've spent £100,000 on can't remember who, grapevine has it that we want to buy Beckford, but he's somewhere else-bound
BTW: on Local news this morning, FA NOT to stop Leeds starting the season despite the fact that they're in serious sh*t.
Boston Utd? relegated TWO divisions West ham? A Nothing-to-them fine.
Maidstone? Scarborough?, both with debts TOGETHER of less than 10% of Leeds', Gone Leeds Utd...............?
