ATTENTION - Organised Dyno Shootout

I have just been in contact with Rich at Powerstation and ran the idea of organising a Dyno Shoot-out.
We have briefly discussed the concept and the occasion will be a goer if I get enough people interested.
I have explained to Rich that I would also get in contact with a magazine to get the event covered and published. It is also a cheap opportunity to get your car checked out on the rollers, prior to anymore track thrashing!!!!!!!!!
The cost would be £300.00 for the day and upto 25 cars would be able to take part. This would amount to £12.00 each - BARGAIN!!!
It would be a good idea for those that have had work done at other establishments to compare power figures using Powerstation's equipment.
Any firm interested parties, please post here.
Don't forget there are only 25 places, so first come first served.
Shaun.

I will confirm date with Rich, after I gauge the responses.
Keep posting!!!!
Shaun.
P.S. I will talk to Rich concerning other work on the day, but as you can appreciate 25 cars @ of 15 minutes per car for roller set-up and run is over 6 hours!!!
Rich (Dr.DetCans) - I could bring my BIG tapometer and give you a hand Ha Ha Ha.

Shaun,
Are you looking for Scoobs only? Cos if not i'd really like to see what my Skyline is putting out now i've put it back to standard (except breathing mods). If that's cool then put me down please!

As I expected, places are being taken rapidly. The advantage with this event, is that anybody will be able to turn up and watch (as long as we don't get 1000 people that is!!!)
I will be at Powerstation on Saturday, so I will speak to Rich to see if I can possible get a Sunday in April (as I imagine this will suit more people, rather than a week day or Saturday).
I know places are being filled fast, but as with most things people tend to drop out, so more people are required. If the event is a success (which it seems it will), I will arrange another in the last quarter of the year and try to make it a bi-annual event.
I was thinking of either Japanese Performance or Banzai Mag's for feature. I will update on this once other details have been finalised.
To make this a good magazine feature, it would help if I could gather all different types of scooby's in various states of tune, whether JAP or UK. I will be contacting the drivers concerned to gather this info.

Is there any chance you can make another TOPIC heading up for DYNO figures. So any other ORGANISED Dyno runs like this could have there figures published.

Shaun,
Try not to make it too close to May 13th as that is the VFM Shoot-out and would like to see quite a few Scoobies back at Powerstation for that (even though only 5 will run).
What time you there Saturday ? I'll be in for my usual lunchtime burger, no doubt
Cheers

Ian,
Sorry I was not aware that it was part of the SIDC set-up.
Paul - any feedback?
RogL,
As the cost for the day is £300.00, I will not be very happy if only I turn up!!!
So not to p1ss people about (including Powerstation or the valid magazine), dependant upon numbers I suggest the final list of people (who I will notify) either send me or Rich @ Powerstation a cheque for the defined amount. This would sort out the doers from the sayers. As it would be quite embarrassing if only 5 people turn up.
I will close this thread on Sunday night and email off-line those who have shown interest for personal details and car specs.
If interest is enough and genuine, I will start the ball rolling on Monday.
Thanks.
Shaun.

Count me IN!
Just a suggestion (flame suit on)
Would it not be a good idea to give at least 1/2 the places to cars that have not been on a RR before? Then fill the other places with the regular crew.
Cheers

As long as it's not the Easter weekend (which I think would be a bad idea cos people do go away at that time), I'll be there to collect the figures and slap 'em on the dyno site.
(I have my first Scooby graph from Powerstation but I haven't got round to setting up a new page on the dyno site...this weekend.)

Depending on dates, I'll be up for it!
You'll have to make do with a high mileage MY97 with ScoobySport backbox and downpipe, along with a K&N 57i air inductor and running NORMAL unleaded petrol!!!!
