I did send one through work once .......cant for the life of me remember how much it cost. £6 springs to mind as it just came within the maximum allowable length I think??

But then i was a naughty lad and posted it through work of course

That was my problem Gary because parcel2go limit you to under 4 foot in length and a parcel shelf is longer than that

I just posted a bumper the cheapest place I found was

http://www.parcel2go.com/ I believe you would be looking at £8.99 for next day delivery, if it is less than 125cms long.

ring them on the number it prints up when you do the calculator and there is then a small surcharge.

It was the only place I could find to send my bumper.

I sent a scoob bumper through royal mail once before they argued with me but they sent it ....
your probably looking around £6-£8 for sending that via royal mail parcels.

When I wanted to send a spoiler via them they wanted double because of the length It worked out at about £20 just for postage

yep I think that is probably what I paid..

If the buyer is paying then that is his problem.

I tried telling him to get a quote of his own but he hasn't and asked me to Given this and the fact that I'm still waiting for some timewaster who bought a phone on there to cough up for postage I'm getting pretty fooked off with ebay at the minute

try this lot, online quote, but you'll need to know weight and size (or guess at it)

http://www.pharos-international.co.uk/

TBH I can't see anywhere on your auction that states local pickup only

Seller's payment instructions and return policy
The winning bidder must contact me within 3 days to arrange payment. Item must be collected within 10 days of the auction ending and paid for on collection. If a courier is required you must email me with a suggested courier for a price before the auction end and pay the courier cost on top of the auction ending price. Thanks

Well yeh, but you could read it either way. I've specifically said "PICK UP ONLY" whenever I've done anything like that, + lower down it says:

Postage and payment details

[snip]

Will post to United Kingdom

Paul - Absolutely no reason in this case or the phone case to be píssed off with eBay. You need to look nearer home and organise your sales properly.

Cover every possibility before you place an advert or if not, just bin the items and stay away.

eBay is superb used correctly.

As for the parcel shelf, if you think your time is worth less than the sale price of a fiver then run around getting quotes to send it.

Personally, the bin would have been the better option.

Unless I am sure I am going to get at least £20 for an item and I can just send it in a Jiffy bag I am not interested in selling stuff anymore. Your parcel shelf is a prime example, loads of hassle finding out the postage charge and then queueing at a post office for the sake of £5. Add on the listing costs, selling costs and paypal charges and it's really not worth it.

paul don't waste you time with this over a fiver, just relist it again and tell him your not going to sell it to him,
if he's paying by paypal then your going to get charged a percentage on the postage as well, by the time you've paid the listing, fvf and paypal fees you might have a £1 left..
its just not worth the hassle, especially at this time of the year

I can't be bothered wasting my time to be honest. I thought that if someone wanted it then they could just come and pick it up because it seemed a shame to throw it away Point taken about stating local pickup only, I put that on my other advert but must have missed it on this one

As for being p!ssed off with ebay I sold a phone 3 weeks ago on there and I'm still waiting for the guy to pay up for the postage The cost of postage was specified as being £5 and was on the invoice I sent him but he just sent a cheque for the ending price of the auction Last Wednesday after another 3 emails he said that he was getting the rest of the money out that day but it still hasn't turned up I sold a steering wheel last week and the winner sent me postal orders on Wednesday and I received them on Friday and she received the steering wheel on Monday Nothing wrong with the post there
