Default Spec C RA-R STi Suspension Wanted

Hi Guys,

I realise that the suspension used on the RA-R is fairly unique to this model.

Does anyone know if the suspension is used on any other cars?

I cant locate the part numbers - Is it still available from Subaru ?

I require a set used on the RA-R - ideally new or as new. Any info most welcome - thanks

I think these are not the same as the ones used in the RA-R - I stand to be corrected and confirmation, either way would be very useful.

S204 Struts end is S181 and S191
RA-R Struts end in S200 and S210

Yes they will mate

as I had full blistering rb329 setup, tein coilovers, then std uk units with prodrive rb320 springs but this spec c ra setup is undoubtedly the best in every way out of all four of them

Quick pic

Just in case you don't have to stick to OEM and require a good inverted road setup then we can help you.

Simon @ AST Suspension UK

Can I ask what spotlights your adding to the car and why?

As for the suspension. Im a bit confused. The very FACT that there is a set available in the UK and your considering it expensive? I personally think such a clean set could fetch upwards of £3k given its rarity and condition!

Have you forgotten about the shipping cost, and possible duties you will have to pay on top. Not to mention how incredibly rare the set is. Its obvious your unable to obtain them from anywhere.

Seriously! Its an RA-R, it should be a no brainer and no expense spared for a such a rare car. You cant match bronze with gold.....

Its a discontinued item. New does not exist. If it does, take my money now.

I would like to highlight japanparts list everything and anything. Doesnt mean its a 100% obtainable.

A direct source from japan was able to confirm you can not buy new.

As above - Japanparts lists (and always have done) all STI items even once they have been discontinued - years after in-fact... 22b bonnet vents, STI sport bumper (22b narrowbody) as prime examples.

There is no stock available in Japan of not just the struts but also the springs.

2pot - I'm VERY interested in your maths - how does 25% ontop of the screenprice of Japanparts website work out as a landed cost to UK shores...?

Shipping on struts @ approx 8-9KG each = approx £40-50 per strut.
Import duty @4% of cost price.
VAT @20% of true landed goods cost (Japan cost, Import duty and shipping included).

That simply equates to far more than 25% ontop of screen price....

ZANY - The Spec C RA is a different strut to the Spec C RA-R struts. They do share the same spring though...

Originality is where a high end limited edition car's true value lies.
