Today I drove it to work and dropped it off at my local garage for a full tracking and camber check to ensure nothing has drifted in the 1.5 years since my full suspension upgrade.

Laid underneath mine faffing with the exhaust, got the hump, swore a lot very loudly - remembered I was on my driveway and not in my garage, came back in, had a sandwich and carried on with my work

This company you speak of, any good from past experience you may have had? I want my ‘03 JDM STI tracked etc after adding some spacers and a slight ride height adjustment in the new year. They’re local to me and I want to take my car to someone who knows Imprezas.

previously had my car at Superior Cars, Horseshoe St, Northampton. They'd done good work for me in the past and have the Hunter alighnment system but have lost some good staff and I felt disappointed last time there. There are some good lads at 'In Town' but definitely used to more general cars than specialised. They welded up my exhaust and I was happy with the service so they've got the work this time but will report back Monday after job done.
From past experience on alighnment, The TT Shop, Unit 2, Triumph Way, Kempston are worth a look, although mainly Audi they do a good job on an Impreza.

Thanks for the advice. I used to use Gavin Fleet Care right next door back in the day so I know of the place. I’ll give them a shoot when the time comes. Thanks again.

roll centre kit should be aroun 40quid per side plus geo approx 80
Over 300 quid is a rip off
Or try them, carnetix melton mowbray no idea how much they charge but they are good

I had this with mine and it was insufferable. In the end it was the rubber rod locating bung that sits in between the housing of the shell. It gets dry and full of crap. I simply got down in cabin and kept squirting wd40 on the rod and bung and kept working the clutch peddle back and fourth until it was cleaned out and lubed. I should note that I tried silicone grease & normal grease to stop the squeak but only wd40 did the trick in the end.

Took me about a week of doing this every other day and the squeak is gone to this day.

thanks for the info.
Carnetix are a good hour from me so not really an option this time, although worth an ask how much they would charge as they would be practised there.
The garage put the info into their system and because the job is unfamiliar it's possibly over quoting. I don't know that and I run the risk of a big bill.
Their labour rates are £60 per hr and £60 full geo check (inc vat) any adjustments would be at the standard labour charge.

DIY- The Tie rod will be straightforward as they were replaced last year. It's the ball connection on the whishbone that concerns me as that has been there from new and may take some freeing. I see the droplink connection is undone/ ball connection castle nut removed and then the control arm forced down and wedged, leaving space to remove and replace the ball joint. I'm stuck if the old one wont budge as I only have basic tools. It did occur to me I could leave the control arm attached to aid removal but then I might end up needing a new control arm.
