The legs were sawn down on that table and it went in the garden for a season, the then fire pit. Had been in the family since the 50's.
No downgrade Todgy, the intel iMac was a massive game changer, it was the moment Apple really took off, no excuse for any geek not to own one and tube screens died.
The iMac cost £1000 and is nowhere near as fast as my telephone.

well if you went from a pc to an apple it will have been a current gen spec downgrade hahaha

Not sure what prompted you to make a silly statement but if you think a Dual Pentium II IBM server from 1995 is an upgrade form a 06 Intel iMac firstly you're going to be disappointed and secondly call me for a great deal.

i think you didnt read the 'current gen' bit, aka a pc the same age as the crapple will be higher spec.
Ah, silence. Now there is something from Apple that I fervently hope you adopt, Jack.
Me too, I wish people wouldn’t question my every word then I could. All of those machines were very good, the Apple was the best, simple really. None of them played games as a primary function, the IBM still might be the longest lasting machine I’ve owned, but that was a hobby. I liked the laptop the most, it was the best laptop I’d owned until my black MacBook, the laptop was stolen in a burglary.

well were all wondering when your going to get a grip on reality and realise apple products are mega priced for a poor specification.
But i bet you'll argue against that since your so blinded by the belief of the church of apple
You sound like a Trump supporter, stuck in old basic beliefs, I won't argue against it, I can buy a box of bits that will have bigger numbers than any Mac, even the mighty iMac Pro. The time it would take me to make that box of bits run OSX or even Windows to an acceptable level and maintain that performance over perhaps a decade comes at an enormous cost, you don't see that, the big picture.
You only post here in lame attempts to provoke argument, for a grown man that's sad. Hopefully you're good with your hands.
Plus its rubbish Very easy to build a non gaming PC these days that will last a decade and perform as well as it did new, at well no cost really. Especially as w10 won't be changing drastically. Unless you have no clue what you are doing of course.
For example I have an old rig built around a core i5 2500k o/c'd to 4.6ghz, 8gb ram, 7800gtx nivida gfx, 6yrs ago now, started on XP, now running w10, it still performs perfectly as it did from new for desktop work. Well it still plays a lot of recent games as well at medium settings. What have I spent on it in that time? fack all, except for a new cpu fan and a decent ssd which didn't exist at the time. Sure its not as slick as something running a 4-8th gen intel cpu, but its still more than adequate and that's why I haven't binned it.

I clicked one button and unboxed it in my office the next day. One plug, done for a decade. That’s valuable to a lot of people that don’t build gaming rigs for a hobby. I’ve built fast machines, it’s fun, I should have kept that IBM case but it’s a hobby keeping them going.
You know when there's a **** on your thread when he makes it about 'my phone, your phone'
Have you ever owned a PC or a Mac captain custard. How about talking about something in the picture? You got banned for making every thread in here about how good your phone was and **** everyone else's is... and that might happen again.
Now now Jack, if I reported you to the mods for abusive language you would be banned for years.
Says the bloke who routine ticks 2 of the 3 boxes in the "Anti Community spirit, trolling & baiting" section of the rules This corner of the site was pretty quiet untill you decided you wanted to try and rekindle your bromance with Jack.
