Yesterday I made a little mod to level out the lights between the cluster, the radio and the HVAC control (Manual AC but Auto AC is the similar but 4 led)
They are just 2 red led (T5) to change, easy mod but I prefer all red!
I've used 2 classic led, but I will buy 2 concave led for make a 180° light and more diffused
After getting her started this weekend. Time to upgrade the old braking system. Started it tonight front 2 pots and rear 1pots off and 4pots and 2pot rears on .
Like that mod to, might do mine blue. Has them blue in my corsa back in the day. Found it hard to read speedo at night though.
Them were the days
my mate Anthony had one and did his speedo bulbs blue aswell!!
I had Civic vti back then college days
ere did you ever drill your airbox
Yes on my Nova, had round filter on top, sounded like a beast

Could you post a link or info on where you got the LEDs, I did this on mine but they now flash and are poop
Got all the LEDs for mine from Amazon. Had to wait quite a while for them all to come in from China but they have been absolutely perfect since install. Not a single flicker in any of them.
I only used a fraction of what I bought and didn't use all the holders. Only bought these as I had a few holders missing.
I should add that you need to be careful when upgrading the dash lights to LED's. Mine draw so much power from a faulty LED that was in my dash from the previous owner that it actually burned one of the PCB tracks out in the dash causing me to lose all illuminations. Took some finding but I tracked the fault and repaired it. All good now.

Yes they are, but the LED's are a little brighter. In dusk time they are still dim on the display, but at night you can see everything clearly.
Massive improvement to the car, when I got it half of the dash was plunged into darkness and the other half was flashing at me. Could hardly see the gauges and it really annoyed me.
Only mods I've done for a while is getting round to installing the jspec boost gauge. Was easy to install & wire up even for someone like me who is hopeless with vehicle electrics!.
Not necessarily a mod but the most worthwhile things I've done is changing the cabin filter, only takes 5 mins...... blocked solid with crap & has probably never been changed in the cars life by the looks of it. Now have a clear screen & warm feet

Would these work in a bugeye dash cluster as well? I’ve got a few gone and need to replace them.

I would have thought the bugeye also runs the same sort of canbus bulb system as my FSTI does. It's quite standard.
The LED's I purchased were blue and my dash had been modified to remove the green filters. If your dash is standard you'll just need white LEDs, not blue.

Nice thanks for the info. I know what I’m doing this weekend now .
Thanks for the comments guys. I am well happy with the way it turned out. I did it in work on a night shift while i was on the miller 10 min to set the job up 5hrs for the programme to run so it was something to beat the boredom more than anything.
