Took my car for a very early morning drive up to the Elan Valley and then onwards to Cwmystwyth, Devil's Bridge and then headed down to Tregaron on my way home.

The weather wasn't great up in the Elan Valley which was just my luck.

Definitely one of my favourite drives and some great views and backdrops.

No it isn't, it's an STi Spec C Type RA to give the full title to it, it's a bit of a mouthful to say the least.

There is an S203 model which is the same body shape as this, the RA is one take on the concept of performance motoring and the S203 is it's blingy cousin.

I always enjoy your ra threads, lovely car. Also really fancy a Welsh mountain/valley roadtrip, so any suggestions of great roads most welcome.... Maybe Black Mountains and then up to see PT82 for a yellow match up!

 

Im going to do a few wales runs this year and also like the look of the evo triangle aswell

 

There are so many to choose from, the Black Mountains pass is a great road and plenty more on the way up to the Welshpool area. When you do plan a trip let me know and I'm sure I can assist with some local knowledge plus some locals to tag along.

I've driven it quite a few times although it's at the opposite end of the country from me, well worth doing but just be careful for local plod as they seem to be everywhere on nice sunny driving days.

Be careful up on the blacks , the limit is down to 40 and Mr plod is in regular attendance on top .

 

Count me in for a meet (just not for a month or so until I take delivery lol)

 

Cheers Geraint, I did see that they've reduced the speed limit down to 40 - there were just too many cars/bikes using it like a test track.

It's still a great drive but you have to just admire the view more now than before, but the hairpin and other sections can still bring a smile to your face.
