Hi, does anyone know the standard boost pressure for the 2.5 wrx? Also, what is the boost pressure for a PPP?
I've recently downloaded ssm and noticed on the program that the vin number logged on the ecu is different to that of the car, except the last two digits, presume they should be the same? The car is meant to have the full PPP, but I got the car as a non runner, and had to get a specialist look at the ecu. I guess they have changed the ecu?
you can also log "target boost" with your software and that will show you what the ECU is trying to reach. If it's a PPP car/map then it should be looking around 14psi (briefly).
Not sure I can do that. It was free ssm I've downloaded and using a vag lead. Would I need romraider or ecu flash for that?
I reset the ecu today and now I'm peaking at 1 bar, not sure what it's holding as I'm using ssm for readings and i need to watch the road. Certainly feels like some of its life is back.
you can use the vagcom lead with romraider on your laptop and save all the data in a log file. after a reset you go into a sort of learning mode as the ECU evaluates everything so give it a decent bit of driving and you should ideally be back at full power. Just check the IAM value to make sure it's moved up to 1.0 - when the IAM is 1.0 then your running full timing and full boost.
If your already at 1bar then either it's a standard ECU with a boost control fault or it's been mapped/PPP kit applied
It has the certificate for the ppp, back box and silicone boost pipe, just the vin number for the car, that's logged in the ecu is different, which has made me wonder if it's had an ecu.
