Default Scoobybits Subaru Club Cornwall

Just a quick intro to a group based in Cornwall of Subaru owners andfans. Family friendly with monthly meets and events organised.

The main group is (and will continue to) run on Facebook, but started thison request due to interest from some possible members without facebook.
We will attempt to keep this updated with news as we go. Any questions can be PMd here, but the notifications can take a long time to get through.

Hopefully current members will help with this too, also introducing themselves too.

Ok, so for the rest of this year we have :-

5th October - Regular Club meet at scoobybits 10am-12am then a drive out to bedecided on the day (included bacon ...... mmmmmm bacon :-)

11th Oct - unsure if this will run - TDMC organised trip to Prodrive factory.

19th October - Dyno day at Engine Tuner there will be trophies on the day forAlans fave, closest bhp guess to actual bhp, and caouple of others as yet to bedecided. This is £30 to be paid by 10th Oct.

2nd November -Regular Club meet at scoobybits 10am-12am then a drive out to bedecided on the day

1st December - Christmas Lunch at Godolphin Arms, Newquay. Drive out in themorning, to arrive at 2pm for lunch, speakers and raffle with proceeds of theraffle going to CLIC Sargent.

Cheers, Lee

That's it so far, along with reg meets each month next year we are planning onJapfest, Wadebridge Wheels, Meet on Beach and more still to be decided.

I shall try and pop down on the 5th for the meet and drive, would appreciate knowing where it is headed etc!

Not gonna make the RR day if it is the same day as the drag day! What spec is the black blob going to the drag day? Not that i need to RR mine as i know the spec, im hoping to get a few more tweaks in on the drag day and see if i can beat my best time so far!

Its not the same day as the drag day, wouldn't be possible as Martyn and Alan are doing the drag day too. The drive on the monthly meets is to be decided on the day by those wanting to go out on them. They are meant to be pretty informal gatherings to get to know each other and chat over ideas for cars and club related thoughts etc.

Cool stuff, i shalll try make the meet on the 5th. How long on average are the drive outs? Are they usually planned with fuelling stops etc? Will need to go past either a tesco or a shell i imagine as from here to truro and a drive would need a refuel before we head out! haha!

I wont enter the RR day as i know exactly what my car makes hah!

Debating wether to trailer the scoob up to the drag day and get the slicks etc on it or wether to just run on road tyres again!

The meet first sat in October has tea coffee & bacon baps on offer (no charge but donation tin always alongside on the counter) while you look over each others cars and share ideas for future mods n tweaks. Family friendly meets are the cornerstone of the clubs ethos.
Look forward to seeing some of you there

This will be the first of the monthly meets, so will be abit of a learning curve all round. The thought behind it is to allow an inclusive meet and drive which is affordable for all members, as the rr day and the track day (was last month) do exclude many members. This first one will probably be a fairly local run out and get some pics. Not a problem with the rr day, we have some members just coming for the day out too. No pressure on anyone mate.

As said Gaz, its no problem at all you'd be most welcome, but I need to finalise numbers and pay a week before to ensure trophies/prizes for the day. Looks like we'll also have some mebers coming along just for the day out too, so should be a good day.

We'll also be sorting a convoy up closer to the time
