Question replacement alarm LED

Anyone changed there standard red LED for a blue clifford one can this be done..

As the standard one does not flash that brightly, bought a clifford LED but when connected it to test it will not flash. has this got anything to do with the voltage supplied buy the sigma alarm unit.?

To be honest fella i dont know what voltage they run at what i do know they are a diagnostic led and to talk to the alarm via a programmer it is done optically through the led so leave that alone

you can add the clifford one do you know what voltage that runs at ?

you will need a dropper from 12v to 3v see maplins they maybe able to give you a resister to reduce voltage
then give one side earth and the other via resister to ign feed

Hi Ian sorry to be a pain..

had a look into this and on the user manual it tells you under accessort outputs, wire 3 (green /black programmable accessory output 1) can be used to run additional LED's

However stripped out the car and exposed alarm box/ecu and there are 2 green/black wires and they are in position 17 and 9 and the only other one is black with a green stripe in position 16.

position 3 in the "main" conection block is empty, does this make any sence to you not sure which is the one to use.

Cheers for you help
