Default Intelliguard 950 ?????

After having my Type20 stolen around 6 weeks ago and just purchased a MY05 type25, i am looking for a top of the range alarm. I had the clifford concept 600 with remote start on an old jap celica i had, and really rated it. I have been looking at the Intelliguard 950. I would want the remote start and smart windows. Has anyone any experience of the IG 950 ? or has anyone got any other suggestions on alarm type ?

I would also like any info on the callguard option ? As i may be interested in this as well. If i decided to go for this alarm with all the extras as stated what would be the cost ? Can anyone recommend a quality fitter , i am in the cheltenham area. (Used Cheltenham car hi-fi last time and they seemed quite good)

I appreciate that it may seem over the top and no alarm is 100%, but after my nightmare of having my type 20 stolen would like to have the best cover possible.

If you want to go all out then yeah the IG950 is fantastic as long as the installer is good. Also add one of these http://www.vehicle-trackers.com/ (mate has the tracker system fitted on his Evo) and a good old fashioned Disk-Lok!

That said though, if they want it bad enough it will go

Intelliguard 950 is the top Clifford model at the moment. It comes with all the sensors possible. We install the 950 on all our own vehicles. We have the 950 on speciall for £500. Who ever you decide to go to just make sure they are authorised dealers as Clifford is more complicated to fit then most other alarms.

I have the CallGuard on my own vehicle. Can SMS it to do loads of stuff like lock, unlock, and can even SMS it to remote start. I was on holiday in Egypt recently and was worried that my battery would run low so i SMS it to start

You will also get a SMS if your alarm is triggered. Would highly recommend this alarm and the extras you want to go for.

We fit loads of these and they are probably the best alarm systems on the market. Standard sensors include: dual zone proximity, tilt/motion, glass break.

As motorguard says, the call guard unit is a fantastic piece of kit. Well worth the extra investment.

The Toad Text Alert is also a GSM system that will text your nominated mobile number if the alarm is triggered or the battery voltage drops.
You can also text the unit to activate a relay to do what you wish.
The unit is available separately so can be used as an add on to most alarm systems.

Default cliffords rule

i must admit if you want an all singing all dancing alarm get a clifford but beware of mobile fitter(not all of them)ive been fitting alarms etc for years and the amount of very bad/dangerous fitting of these alarms doesnt ber thinking about the best thing about the new clifford stuff is the blackjax/anti-hijack on it
