Default Alarm problems

Car is my03 sti, i had 2 working fobs with a stack of CR1620 batteries.
Unfortunately no over ride code.

Problem is, got home last night switched engine off fob wouldnt work, tried the back up and nothing? Just locked the car on the key and prayed the alarm wouldnt go of!

Could anyone shed any light as to my options, can you still call Subaru for the master code as such?
Or should i just call an alarm specialist?

any help would be appreciated

Update...just been in touch with local Subaru dealer who have provided me with the original code.
If the code has been changed in its lifetime would this 'orignal' code still work/bypass or lock me out altogether?

So just been out to the car, tried both fobs neither work. Started the car, but did notice i had no 'lock key' illumination on the dash???

Im lost......should i just try this code, or take it to someone who knows what they are doing?

supplied with code from subaru, went out to the car to try and manually arm on keypad
low and behold the kepad does **** all, no beeps no led illumination.

So to recap if anyone can chime in before i rip the whole lot out.
1. 2x fobs dont work
2. Keypad doesnt work
3. Car can unlock / lock via key and start and drive.
4. The flashing led 'key' symbol on dash is present (not as i stated earlier)
