Default blobeye headlight mod

my mate has a blobeye wrx and wants to detango them plus blackout the inside. we know you have to bake them in the oven to separate the seal then the orange plastic unclips but do you need special paint due to the heat?

You can also heat round the seal with a hairdryer if you don't want to use the oven. I just used a halfords plastic paint and an undercoat.

Normal rattle can paint it fine.

Better to bake them in the oven for a couple of mins in my experience, hairdryer just doesn't get it hot enough.

i've read Plasti-Dip is supposedly fine as well and gives you the possibility to remove the paint if the black color isn't that appealing to you
