So on the way home from work I was thinking about how nuts I must be

I drive a 100 mile round trip 5 days a week commuting to work in my Scooby.

So 500 miles a week, plus weekends, so any thing up to 600 miles a week.

Anyone beat that?

Haa burning petrol beats the lot

I will keep a eye out my parents live in welwyn so I drive that way a fair bit, if you see a silver mondeo estate waving it will be me haha or a blue blob eye.

I used to do a 120 mile round commute everyday going from Ilkeston Derbyshire, to Kettering, like you mentioned, I ran a diesel, irrespective of fuel type, it doesn't half put some wear on the car!

Did that run in my heavily modded V6 Vectra a couple of times, that car only used to get a combined of 17mpg. Cost me a fortune, so soon switched back to the 50mpg diesel!

So today's trip saw a Blue Newage WRX northbound on the A1 south of Knebworth and a Green Classic coming out of Welwyn GC after the viaduct

Finish work on friday drive home 260 miles enjoy the weekend then drive back sunday another 260 miles most ive done was about 700 miles on a weekend lol

Do between 40-50k a year...

In the Astra van:
Scoob gets used at night and weekends usually around 100 miles per week depending on if I'm off anywhere or not.

I did just over 1000 miles in the first 2 weeks i had mine just randomly driving round like a c*nt for no reason.....since then ive not really driven it as its been here n there having bits n bobs done to it...
