Bugeye or blobeye? HELP!
Hi everyone.
I'd like some opinions from owners of the bugeye and blobeye.
I'm looking at getting a new sub but have only experienced the classic.
Now I'm torn between the bug and blob.
Personally I think the bug is more and attractive but should I favour this over the age difference?
What made you choose yours?
What would you choose?
Any info (facts) would be appreciated.....
Let me know if one is a stronger engine and what have ya....
Cheers in advance

A Prodrive Bug is a very pretty car and it also carried Burnsie to victory so there's the kudos there. The seats are slightly different but you should really buy on condition. Both are superb so get out and drive some

I love my bug but I also like the blobs. There are definetly more blobs around so i prefer being in the minority with my motor. But i wouldn't say no to a nice wr1.
It's down to your budget and the condition of the motors your looking at really.
Good luck!

You're looking at a WRX in a Bug or early (2002) Blob for that money.
I would suggest you go and look at this one http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...d-2003/1242208
Nick Johnson is a well known dealer and this one will have been taken in PX so you'll get him down to your budget quite easily. Your first task will be to replace those awful rear clusters though.
Get on the phone tomorrow

I'm sure the blob has 5-10 more bhp in standard form? Not much really and the comment about the ecu was a well respected mapper's opinion fella. Probably a load of sh#te as i may have got the updated bit wrong

Im in the same boat, if i was going for the blob i would leave the styling as it is, but if your going for a bug eye like i intend to soon then i would say get the prodrive bits on the front and it looks mint othetwise im not a great fan of the original bug headlights

Personally I'd go for a bugeye, and thats coming from a blobeye owner! I think you'll get a better car mechanically for the same money, and tbh the bugeyes aren't that bad looks wise!

Im with you on that, I would entertain a bug unless it had the prodrive bits on the front. What a different car with it! How could you not have it
