Default Aet gt30 stock or rotated turbo kit?

Hi everyone
I Currently have a aet gt30 stock location turbo
Toying with the idea at the moment for a rotated gt30 turbo (preferably billet) complete with up/downpipe external WG
It's for my v3 classic 2.0 forged 6 speed
Is the aet worth changing for a rotated billet gt30?
Reason I ask, engine is out of the car and i don't want to bolt the stock location turbo if it doesn't perform as good as a rotated
Want to minimise lag and aim around 500

Thanks
Zak

Same engine spec as mine...and I went from a stock position gt30 to a rotated sc gt30 xtr billet.

Over 500 and is mental.

Too much for a road car imo though.

I had 380 - 400 before going rotated.

Now with 525 and more to come....power delivery is on a complete different level.

I did rotate inlet and flip cooler for shorter pipework...and in total cost me about 4500k using used parts....but sold bits (turbo, intercooler, pipework, etc) which came to about 1500...

Well worth it though...

I have heard a few people mention 500+ in a classic is insane lol
I have also reversed inlet, will flip intercooler depending on
Position of rotated turbo intake pipe,I don't even want to calculate the cost
Anyone wanting advice trying to get big power in a classic 'IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE' and that's not including labour as I do the work myself

How do you find the 2.0 engine with a gt30 isit laggy?
Have you had any head work done?

Whats your standard position AET GT 30 producing just now then? I thought this was a 450- and upwards turbo?

I've never ran the gt30 standard location turbo as engine has been out,it came on a sti ra 2.5 I had and later broke for spares
Performed well with it on and made 452hp
Apparently they are quite laggy on a 2.0 and want a rotated kit as there is wider range of turbos and the fact they look good

Not just get it billetised and throw on one of Harvey's trick up pipes? That would help considerably?

I already have a Harvey's trick uppipe and gt spec headers, the porting of heads should vastly improve spooling
Having the compressor wheel changed to billet could be an option but if I can sell my complete turbo kit and buy a billet rotated turbo kit then I think I would be a happy chap
Isit true that the gt3076 isn't as responsive as the gt3071?

2.0l with big turbo needs cams, valvetrain IMO. Power band will be short, dont you want to rev the **** out of it?

Kas brooo I've considered complete valve train 272 cams etc
However going to do heavy porting for now and leave that for another day
I've also considered sending my v3 cams or n/a cams for regrind to machine shop for same lift as 272 cams but no point as I would rather wait and get proper 272 cams and valve train at same time
Going all out on this one bro
