Default Ariel Atom Trackday

Well after months of waiting i've finally booked my trackday in an Ariel Atom this saturday at Blyton near Lincoln. Mrs T bought it me for my birthday back in March! Been watching re-runs of Clarkson driving one on Top Gear on the tube and getting excited and nervous! Scooby will no doubt feel a slug on journey home, although it will probably be the kick up the backside i need to start modding mine.

Did a track day recently at Bedford and there was loads of these they looked amazing and although they were very quick not as far ahead as I thought they might be. I saw one spin in front of me (I think he was on cold tyres tho)

they sure are good fun to drive.... no power steering, no traction control etc...... loads of bhp and very little weight.. I sure enjoyed the drive.

Well just arrived home from my excitement at Blyton. Very impressed with the Ariel Atom. Fantastic performance and incredible handling. Quite busy down there but great service and atmosphere. Passenger ride in Supercharged Range Rover Sport to show me the track, brake points etc then 3 laps in the Atom. Accelerator pedal took some getting used to (all or nothing) and the way the thing cornered was immense. Very addictive and 3 laps go so quickly. They must make a fortune!!! What a job those instructors have blasting round in supercars all day hey!! Here's a couple of pics and one of mine with freshly painted gloss black rims. Forgot to change date on camera after charging!!
