Default VF35 converting question.

Im replacing my Td04 with a Vf35 soon. The oil feed pipe on the Vf has a coupling joint near the top end wheras my Td04 has a single piece oil feed pipe right up to banjo bolt. My question is _ Will my Td04 feed pipe banjo connection line up with the Vf housing so i can just bolt it all on with no pipe changing ? or will i need the lower half of the oil feed pipe to mate up with the Vf.s threaded joint ???

I just replaced my td04 with a Vf35 and I used the original oil feed pipe. I'm having to replace this turbo now though as it tends to smoke a bit on idle after giving it a blast but I already have a vf43 to bolt on with low mileage so fingers crossed.

Cheers Dave. Im torn between which turbo to buy and like you im dreading paying 300 for a smoker when my Td04 is running fine. I am meeting a fella later to view a Vf35 and pinks. Im not to keen on buying without seeing as all the turbos you see advertised are - Non smokers and No play in shaft !!!

That was it, I was sold the Vf35 as a goodun but it wasn't until I fitted it that it started to smoke on idle when my td04 was fine. Even Duncan said during the mapping that he this the turbo was tired so more than like the turbo seals are shot as my Bugeye only has just short of 37,000 miles on it. He recomended either a vf43 or vf48 but managed to get a low mileage vf43 for £380 although it has a very small crack by the wastegate. Been told though that this should be fine. Its pot luck when buying things used which can turn out expensive as I have just found out.
