Default Whats my MY99 WRX Auto wagon worth?

It is a Wrx import my99 wagon in white, which isnt my favourite colour but is now growing on me. It has 80000 miles on the clock a fmic, induction kit, magnecor leads and a full exhaust. Everything was stock.

That was 2 weeks ago........

This week the following has been done:

OZ P1 17 inch alloys shod in new Michelin Pilot Sport rubber
Whiteline rear anti roll bar fitted
BC Racing coilover suspension fitted
AP Racing 330mm Front Brake Conversion
Goodridge Braided BRake Hoses
Ferrodo DS2500 Pads with Excedy Grooved Disks
Whole Brake Fluid System bled and renewed with Dot 5.1
Walbro 255 lph Fuel Pump fitted
Hard Race Steering Rack Bushes Fitted
Front and rear Api uprated Droplinks fitted
Service - New NGK Platinum Plugs, Fuel filter, Oil filter
Coolant system drained and new anti freeze added
New Genuine V Belt Fitted
New Genuine Power Steering Belt Fitted
Cambelt and All Pulleys and Tensioners Fitted
HKS Front Mount Intercooler

Kenwood Double Din Stereo fitted with USB, Ipod etc
10 inch Subwoofer in Custom Stealth Box
Rockford Fosgate 4 Channel amp
Rockford Fosgate EPX2 electronic crossover unit

3 Stack 52mm gauges
Carbon Fibre Centre Gauge Holder
FSE Fuel pressure Regulator with Gauge
3 port Boost solenoid
VF24 Turbo
Custom Fibreglass Subwoofer box
STI Type R Steering Rack

I also had the rear diff removed and new quality oil and all gaskets replaced.

I took the car out for a spin yesterday and it is without a doubt the best handling classic I have been in, the modifications I have carried out have made the car handle and drive so much better.

Things I will be doing next:

Autobox Oil and Filter change
New rear Disks and Pads
Ecutek Remap

With all that done it will drive well and with about 350 bhp will be quick enough too.

Once my ankle gets better though I may go manual box and then start to play with the engine but for now Auto is fine for me.

The plan once all that is done is to make the car look like new so renew any parts that need to be but that will be over the course of a couple of years.

Well just trying to fit the gauges, what a pain, the last things to do for now will be fit the vf24 turbo and have a remap..

This was my original post but it gives you an idea of how much I have put into this car in such a short space of time.

I may have to sell so wondering how much I would get.

Bonkers. Couldn't you have just bought a newer/more desirable car in the first place with all that mahoosive amount of spare cash you've thrown at it?

Hate to say it but a 99 Auto Wagon is never going to sell for big bucks?

Unfortunatley I have to agree with the above, dispite all the mods you have added it wont add any value to an auto and imho you would get twice as much if you decided to break it .
To give you some idea of prices I bought a 96 auto wagon 7 days ago and drove it home from blackpool for £620.00,which is the price of 4 x 17' tyres and a backbox..

I know the auto is a lot less desirable an d too be fair the work was done over a month ago now, we are having massive building work done to our house and the builders keep asking for money which is fine but we are going to be short so tring to find a way to get some cash, I know if I sell I am going to regret it as I dont think I would modify a car quite so extensively in a short time again, my plan was to build a car that is good on the road and reliable on the track and I am very nearly there but a remap at £500 is not on the cards now for a least 2 years as all our money will go on the house. The original plan was to spend £8000 on her but that went down as the building started, we are actually thinking that if I do keep her then I will have to uninsure and have no tax and mot when it all runs out and leave it standing till we are ok again. Having all this building a new baby and a daughter that has to go to private school as the state ones are rubbish around here, its all starting to build up. We are trying to build a garage but even that may have to wait, so if I have no garage there is no way I would strip the car.

Mine is a 99 and I am not sure but I have been told by most major scooby tuners on here that it maybe the only my99 auto wrx in the country, I dont know if thats true or not but in any case it makes it a very rare car.

Could you not bolt all your original bits back on. You can then sell the car on and for 'X' amount and the parts after.
You'll get more money that way.

I would hope for £4000 but can take the brakes, suspension etc off and then sell for £3k

What do you think? I could even takes the gauges and sound system off the car and go a bit less.

£4000 is not gonna happen I'm afraid buddy, not in today's market that's for sure.

Has the turbo been fitted and mapped to suit ?

£4000 for a 13 year automitic subaru,no chance in this lifetime .
Also I take it that the car has not been remapped yet
Even with a remap you would struggle to get 350 bhp out of a vf24 on the mods listed above, especially if it is still on 440 injectors.
Like I said previously if you took this car back to std I know someone who would have bought this car off you for £1500 - £1800,then you could have made a killing on all the parts.

You knew someone who would have or would? As for the building we were mis quoted so thats where that went wrong. I would be willing to remove brakes suspension gauges etc and sell for 2k.

if you were miss quoted that is down to the builder, the company has supplied a quote and a term's of work that they should adhere to, you should not be selling your assets to cover there error.

After driving this morning I have decided to keep her, I have spent too much time and money on this one to loose it, secured a good loan this morning so toy is safe. Need to sell off all my spare bits now to pay for remap and then I am done.

Wise decision IMHO ,I have a mate who has had 6 autos in the last 2 yrs and we have struggled to find a car later than 1996 in a auto . Not my cup of tea but if your keeping it ,then enjoy it .

SODS law!!! I finally think to myself yes I'll keep her, and my wife says to me "guess what I am pregnant" oh and I am one of twins and I had a dream" omg. So we are selling our landcruiser and buying a Lucida and the Subaru has to go now, So I will be putting back to standard and selling now. I will be trying to strip as many parts as I can and I may end up stripping the whole car if there is enough interest but I will not break unless enough parts are sold first. My number is 07947708900 if you want anything.

99 wagOn auto
£1200-£1500 tops bits don't make much difference to resale
Worth more in parts I'm afraid
My one owner wagon my2000 turbo would be worth £1800 - 2k
Market is finished for performance cars like ours
I'm keeping mine forever though and arches will probably set
Me back £1000 and bonnet stonechips £600 and I guess I will have to
Replace the clutch after 12 years and 60k miles

I have to agree with the above ,my MY00 wagon with 3 owners from new with over 90pages of documentation incl fsh would be lucky to fetch £2400 now.
A mate of mine off this site, has just bought a 53 Blobeye wrx with fsh for £2700 .

Ok so sold the brakes and alloys, removed the stereo and gauges so now the choice so do I sell her whole or break her up.

Just need to sell coilovers, strut brace, arbs, etc and the car will be back to standard and then may just sell as a whole.

So will you be putting original spec brakes etc back on it? Might be interested but would want it to be safe and reliable.
