My last Scoob, a modified MY00 UK Turbo, used to pass the MOT with a decat downpipe with the standard middle cat left in place. The tester used to warm the car up first though. Steve.
same again, get rid of the big CAT in the down pipe and get better flow, response and turbo charging. The centre CAT will get you throught the MOT. The down CAT is nearest to the action so eliminating this is most important.
Ive currently got a decat downpipe afterburner mid with silencer and either a afterburner vortex or race box.
My line of thinking is that the best sports cat I can buy will take my noise down to completly legal as mines prop still a couple DB out even with the race box and well over with the vortex.
Does anyone know what the difference in power is on a rough scale. Has anyone evey tested one then the other?
