How strange.

Hi all.
I am just sitting here at my desk drinking beer and watching everybody play video games (which I'm crap at) so I thought I'd check out the old BBS.
I decided to check out all those little icons and search thingy's that I can never be bothered to work out how to use.
This led to (and I know this is getting a bit sad) a browse at everybodys profile on the various threads that I was reading.
I am now puzzled by 2 things that I saw on these profiles:
1) The number of us Scooby owners that work in IT, P.C. support, programming etc (as do I). Is there some sublime calling between us techy types here?
2) What the hell is an ICQ number?
Have a great great Christmas!

Seeing as a large proportion of people have access to the internet from their homes, the number of I.T people on this forum should be no higher that any other profession. As this clearly is not the case, that leaves only two viable options.
1) I.T. people have nothing better to do in work than mess about on the internet
2) I.T. people are generally overpaid
Comments please!
P.S. I am an I.T professional (although I use the word professional very loosely)

Just going to make an independant observation (notice how I've removed all responsibility?)
The general opinion seems to be that the scube's greatest asset is the fact that it's so easy to drive from day 1. - This gets used against the RWD boys.
And yet, the Evo seems to get slated for it's Anti-Yaw Control (sorts out tail slides) as being a girlie option (althought I'll steer clear of the sexist slant coz this thread is heading for trouble as it is!!)
When they remove the AYC and ABS on the Extreme, (I would guess to make it more manly) it gets slated again.
So what gives?

and interestingly nothing whatsoever to do with the original question
In response...I think its cos...1) We are overpaid, and at a generally younger age (gonna get shot here I think ) - so have more money to waste on things like cars...
Plus, the joys of consultancy mean you can **** about during the day more...maybe!

I'm in the wrong job, where do I sign Neil?
I NEED to get a job where I am required to sit around and play computer games whilst drinking beer
I do get to do the IT for our garage, but don't seem to get time for the game/beer/net part
Keep up the good work, David

Oh, I forgot, we play with them and charge you as well, suppose it's not a bad job after all
Thanks, David

One of the bebfits of being in IT is that I can legally be on the Internet "looking for the latest drivers or bug fix" when in actual fact I am browsing scoobynet etc doing nothing of any use at all. Tough job but I feel somenone ought to do it.
