It's not about how much boost mate, it's about how much boost you can run efficiently i.e. that will translate into more power. Smaller turbos don't generally like having their necks rung! You're probably around the max already. Best to talk to your mapper!

She is maxed out @ 1.3 bar, time for a bigger turbo! What size are your injectors out of interest?

Andy Forrest's TD04 hybrid is all about power / torque low down the rev range, unless you invest heavilly in a twin scroll set up you will have to sacrifice the early pick-up.....

Not that the ej20 has any low down torque or power even if you stick boost up it! They don't really come to life until 4000 rpm anyway

No matey AFTD04H is different animal to all turbo available on Impreza.
This turbo will make at top 320bhp,but spool which have this turbo on bog standard EJ205 without the AVCS or other mods is just astonishing.

Here is mine bog standard TD04 with OE boost(this has been tested on LPG at this time )

Bet your old car wasn't running a huge turbo on a small displacement / square engine though

And my point is that for *best* low down performance you need a small turbo and / or a twinscroll set-up

Wouldn't call the EJ20 revvy comapred to something like a civic with VTEC LOL

just out of interest how do you know if your td04 is an AFP one or not? ive just taken mine off and changed it for a td05 20g, it could be a hybrid as andy did a lot to my car before i bought it.

My T20 Spec C is as revvy as the Prelude 2.2 VTec I once had, which was pretty revvy!
