I always Use Tyre Traders for my Tyres, However i do not seem to see any R888's listed in this size listed, only The T1R, or the new R1R

TOYO 215/45R17 87W PROXES R1R
The new motorsport tyre - The Proxes R1R. The Proxes R1R is the perfect tyre for the occasional motorsport competitor who requires a less aggressive tyre than the Proxes R888. Home Delivered (+p&p)- £130.32 Per Tyre

The R888's are listed in 225-45-17

TOYO 225/45ZR17 89W R8882G
TOYO R888 TRACK DAY! Our new track day tyre is the road legal Proxes R888. Designed by our motorsport team using high tech computer systems has resulted in an outstanding compound that delivers perfect results in the dry and wet. not looking for road legal as the car will be trailored to and from track, i may go down the route of 18s as i can get slicks for very cheap these will be going on a classic so will have to roll the arches to fit them

they might be road legal, but doesnt mean there good. unless its bone dry and warm out, i struggled to feel safe driving with them fitted.

have you considered second hand slicks? usually available for £25-30 a corner, but downside is you need a proper baffled sump (£400 for newage im told) but you do get extra grib and the long run its cheaper to replace those than keep buying R888. mine lasted 2 days at brands and 200 road miles before they were past the limit.

R1R's weren't liked by Ellie at Elvington on the AET-Turbos car, she said they weren't as good as R888's.

dunx

P.S. I love my R888's but £1000 a set is silly money.

Hi Lee. Been to the garage the weekend? Did you manage to get the bits off?

Give m444gy a call (mags) a pm. He's a joint owner of ruislip tyres. He's really looked after me with an unbeatable price and many others. He should be able to help.
