Question WHAT IS A SIMTEK WORTH ?

Morning all...
To cut a long story short, a 50k service & TGV failure has left me skint
So to try & get some funds back i'm considering flogging my simtek ecu ( L.C. & A.L.S.) It's off my 54 wrx & was mapped by Mr. Rawle.
It was a four figure sum to buy & map (most things seem to be four figures with Scoobys ) so what is it worth ?

There is one up for sale now for £700....so about that. But, it hasn't sold as of yet, so maybe lower?!

you need to consider how much it would cost to have it remapped and make sure it's less than a new one, I'd go for a new one if there was only £100 or so in it.

£1095+vat supplied, fitted and remapped new.

about £300+vat for a full remap of a simtek, not including rolling road time.

i'd say £500-600 if you want it to sell quick or upto £700 if you're happy to wait.

The ALS/LC adds £150 to the new so I'd be asking £650, if you have the software and dongle paired to your ecu then £650 should be a bottem figure

Cheers one & all
Not as bad a second hand value as i thought !
It'd sure help cover the cost of the 50k service & the impending bill for the T.G.V. It'd be nice to have it running properly once more.
Many thanks again lads The cars in this Wednesday to be sorted out, may then be able to try out The BBO ? thanks again !

Ahhh well !!! Seen tgv delete info & tbh friend i'm fed up with trying to make it go faster than Subaru designed it to ! It's taken me almost 6 months to get to the bottom of the trouble in the first place & a few £££'s to boot

So i just want it to run well.... for now

Thats the only reason i was thinking of selling the Simtek... far too may "experts" so sticking with one man & his Garage now...

Thanks again everyone
