Hi again Gibbo - I think it's a trick of the light. You'd be amazed how many images I have of WR blue - and each looks subtly different...

It is definately the light, there is only one WR Blue.
Every time I take a picture of my WR blue it looks a different colour, and none of them really look the same as it does it the flesh.

Presumably these two photographs were taken at totally different times, in different places with different cameras etc.
As a photographer I would suggest the reasons are that each different manurfacturer of film records colour with slightly different casts. Digital cameras too differ in the way they 'see' colour.
The second pic looks closest to what I see on the road. The first photo appears to have too much of a cyan cast. It's either the film, the camera, the reproduction or all three!
