Picked my wagon (serial number 17) up at long last yesterday evening
Who else has taken delivery? I gather wagons are selling better than saloons so far.....

Good choice Dave, I much prefer the look of the wagon over the saloon. I saw a saloon at Donnellys in Belfast - the interior is nice but not keen on the metal grille. The wheels on the wagon are very nice
Have you got any pics?

Paid the deposit on Tuesday for mine just waiting for a delivery date. They had the saloon in the showroom, nice looking car but a bit to shiny for me with the silver gril and wheels. Dealer thought they would have been better with the black alloys, same as the wagon.
Just playing the waiting game now.

Nice one mate,
I'm still waiting to hear from the dealer Two weeks now and not a peep, have called several times and keep being told it's on order. Can't even get a vin mumber from them. I wonder if I should start to worry
Fingers crossed.

Was down at the local dealers last night for something, and saw two saloon's in the workshop. Must have been final checks before sale. None in the showroom though.
Looked really nice.

When I took delivery of my 27/100 Sportswagon last night, there was a saloon on the forecourt, waiting for it owner.
Currently cannot edit my scooby as GB270 is not in the drop down list.
I am not to pleased with the privacy glass on the rear window, it is so dark I cannot make out the make or model of the car behind, let alone spot police in an unmarked car, not that I would be speeding.

Judging from Simons pics above yes it should have a numbered plate in the centre console - I'd get onto Subaru asap.
The GB 270 saloon I saw at the dealers didn't have one either, so maybe they put them on when sold and have forgotten with yours.

Pop up washers
When I get home I can look this up in the handbook but as that is 8 hours away....
I checked the GB270 sales pitch again today as I thought it came with pop up headlight washers, but on the way to work I could not find the controls for them. I was on the motorway at the time so I didn't look under the seats or anything like that Anyone know where the controls are supposed to be?

yes you should have a numbered badge.. they are not fixed in the factory though, they are sent to the dealer seperately. my dad has no.21 of the wagons and we actually stuck the badge on the centre console ourselves after the dealer gave it to us.. we also got a spare 'GB270' bootlid badge aswell.

Less than 2000 miles on the clock and someone nearly smashed into the passanger side last night on the way home for work.
Came to a mini roundabout, all clear for me, got halfway across and some women who was looking left (left at a roundabout ) didn't see me right in front of her and shot out. I only just saw here and floored it, swerved towards the traffic island, just got through and waited for the bang. She locked up her tyres and I made it through with a *** paper's width to spare.
Was I fuming at her stupidity or what

GB270
My old man picked up his gb270 just over a week ago. Had the pleasure of driving it. What a tight machine! The only debate I'm having with him at the moment though is what fuel he should be using! He's using 95ron. Howver I've suggested he uses Optimax or Tesco 99. What do you think?

I totally agree but he was being a bit stubborn I suppose much like myself. He said to me that it said use 95ron on the fuel filler which it does! However becos it has the PPP he should be using 98ron+ for better knock resistance etc.

Tell him that Mike Wood from Prodrive made that post, he should know what he's talking about.
Mike, what grade of diesel should I be running my D-Max LE on?
When I hit the 'P' button it leaves other pick-ups for dust.
