Default WRC Tech gone to the wall!!

The rumours had been around for a while that they were in the ****e financially. I knew this was true when a refund cheque that Allan wrote be bounced but fair play to him he appoligised and payed me out cash which he didn't have to do. Maybe he payed the price for his premises within the grounds of silverstone circuit (rent couldn't have been cheap) A descent bloke wish him all the best.

its not good news when a company goes under. Wonder what caused it?

I cant help but think theyre misrepresentation of the 350 packages offering +50bhp over your car rather then 350bhp didnt help, not did all their tuning advice being so contradicting to everything else. I know that put me of using them.

A big shame when any company goes under, although their prices were a bit excessive to say the least. Hope the staff there find alternative employment.

Guys,

Lets not take this as an oppourtunity to slag off a company that has unfortunately ceased trading. It's not good!

I wish Allan and Chris all the best for the future.

Regards,
Shaun.

A guy in our club has had work done by them inc a remap and his car is a peach - runs great and has had absolutely no issues at all.

You get what you pay for imo.

lets hope they're up again doing what they do best soon

Fact of life: Mechanics aren't accountants.

Choose the wrong accountant and/or bank, and they won't give a iota if you go under, pay too much tax or not - so long as they get their money.

( SM - currently on hold to the IR : )

Is there actually any hard evidence that they have gone under?

Unhappy Shame

I had my re map done by chris, never had a problem and the car pulls like a train!
This is a real shame One less place to offer advice and services, hope they bounce back soon.

I was looking at buying some kit off them, but now is that possible, or has it all gone to liquidators?

Wish them luck.
I hope they bounce back, its a small world.
I bet rent at Silverstone is not cheap.
They were the only tuning form I know that advertised warranty with their work.
Evo used there rolling road in recent times as well.

yep that is bad news, but with so many good tuners around in this area then the week ones are always going to find it hard to make profit. did they mainly do evos as when I last called them there Hawkeye knowledge was poor

Not that I wish them ill or anything, but I'm always suspicious when a new company starts up and seems to have a big profile that has popped out of thin air with Evo using their rollers, people going there for work, big fancy looking adverts in every mag etc. Call me old fashioned but I'd prefer the geezer down the arches who's been working on cars for that last 40 years. With this 'WRC' place there was no way of knowing their 'previous' if you get what I mean. There are other firms doing similar things who've been around for years and you know where their rep came from.
