On the whole yes...
The clutch judder and fuel economy does irriate a bit as I bought it thinking I would be doing low miles - over 2,000 a month currently...
Despite the downsides, I love the character of the car, the AWD and great modding community. I don't regret buying it.

I do however like the fact that my dad has got my old Scoob and to add his tuppence to this thread and keep the post on topic - Yes, he loves the car too.

There's no shame in having a mini, they are also character cars and good fun to drive and have the same sort of club as scoobies, you will no doubt get flashed/waved quite often. At least your Scoob has gone to a good home and no doubt you still get to have a drive! The only thing about minis that I don't like is that those damn Cooper S ones always want to overtake you. I think they have small dog syndrome...

It is good that my father will probably let me have a spin every now and again, thank god. You're right about the club thing, seems like it could be quite friendly.
I'm the same on the Mini Cooper S thing, they really do have some kinda complex most of the time from experience.
Cheers,
Tom

Totally YES!!! Crashed mine 2 months ago and now got Merc S500 for business purposes but miss my STI PPP like crazy. Merc is prob as fast but does not have that mad grin factor at all. Kick it down and its like an Exocet missile but does not have the character and brutal looks of my Scoob. Hit a corner and oh dear its not pretty. Scoobs sound, look and perform better than anything I could ever afford to own!!!!

I feel nothing for it. To me, its just a mode of transportation.
I really should have got shot of the thing years ago, but its worth nothing and I really haven't the time to faf around with selling it or messing around at dealers. And TBH any modern fast car is the same numb nothingish affair unless I start throwing wads of cash about.
Will sell it soon, once I've got some spare time to waste on chavs and tyre kickers and after I've pulled out all my radio stuff (its not worth anymore with it fitted..despite it being almost a grands worth). Don't get me wrong, its not a bad car is a general car sense, but in terms of sports cars, its never inspired me much....I've driven too many good cars, and thats spoilt me.

(My answer to the question is an emphatic "yes". Thought it might be hard to replace my much loved old Prelude Vtec for the cash i had, but i needn't have worried, albeit after a few mods !).
