gutted can't face another scoob
hi all
4 months ago i had my joy ( can't say pride as i never cleaned it ) stolen. The gits broke into my house and stole the keys.
Was thinking of getting another ( had scoobys of sorts for 5 years) but when it came to the crunch the thought of going through it again has put the mrs off

I felt the same when it happened to me, but 13 weeks of driving around in crappy vauxhall hire cars convinced me not to let the ******* win! New car arrives in 2 weeks!!

Look at it this way if you work hard in life then you should have something nice to show for it.
Go and buy a new one oyu know it makes sence.
**** the scum and dont let them get the better.

There comes a point when your family's safety is more important than 'just a car'!!!
What if they broke into your house to get the keys, and it was only your wife or children at home? I know I couldn't live with myself if anything happened because of a car!
I use to have a the standard Cat1 alarm, Tracker Monitor, Disklok, Barrier Deadlock (locks into reverse), parked in a garage with an electronic door opener (no locks to break or pick) and the garage was wired up to the house alarm. This was all in a relatevely good area!!
I was going to get a pull up pillar fitted inside the garage, so even if they opened the door, they would have to get round that! I decided against it as I thought I was getting a little paranoid!! 
I don't want to have to think like that again, just over a car! At the end of the day, there are new M3's, Porsche 911's, etc parked on my road, but I still think an Impreza or an Evo gains more attention!
There are plenty of cars out there which are fast, but far more descrete!
Priorities have changed and I can hand on my heart say I don't want another Impreza, although another Subaru may be on the cards!

RB- Couldn't have said it better myself mate! :-) Stephen, get rid of that Skoda and get yourself back into a scooby. If you're worried about a repeat incident, get Blakjax installed- even if they get the keys, the swines won't be able to take the car.
