Cool

The word on the street has always indicated that the MY03 WRX STiīs steering wheel was one of the few things that Prodrive got a free hand to design. I still havenīt been able to figure out why they decided to drop the MOMO design?

And now a simple steering wheel voting , which design is better? MY02 or MY03.

The MY02 gets my vote, without a doubt

MY02 WRX STi

I have an MY02 Sti and I prefer the look of what I have, but the MY03 Sti at the UK motor show seemed smaller and felt much better...so I would have to go MY03.

You mean the fake aluminium thing. To be honest, it looks like steering wheel halfords would sell you.

The 03 looks quite classy and the STi logo in the centre looks great. I havn't felt either of them but overall i would have to go with the MY02, can't go past a momo.

I've got the 02 STi and I prefer the look but I would suffer the 03 wheel as it's smaller and the current one is just way too big...

Anyone want to swap when they get their 03?

Well - I'd prefer to have the steering wheel on the right hand side

But other than that - Momo gets the thumbs up from me

Cool

The best steering wheel I have driven behind was a Fiat Punto GT. Px'd it for my WRX but miss the fat wee Fiat.

Some have criticised the MY02 wheel for being too big - in which case the MY03 wheel will be an advantage. Personally I find the MY02 wheel fine, with a thick rim to get my large european hands rounds.

I'm another vote for the MY02 wheel

It looks as if Prodrive simply copied the current EVO7 wheel for the MY03, IMO, and it looks pants (the only bit about the evo I don't like )

cheers

Have to agree on that, this is one of very few parts which carry the STi badge that I wouldnīt want to have in my car...........

Interesting that this weeks Autocar in talking about the MY03 says:

"The most obvious interior change is the fitment of a smaller Momo sterring wheel,"

So I guess the new wheel is a Momo as well!

I love the new one - but do they do a carbon version as i replaced that nasty silver facia with tasty carbon - and now i'd be stuck with a big slab of silver!!!

Now thatīs indeed interesting.

I seem to recall a similar statement from the Subaruīs press release at the Paris Motorshow.

But there is no sign of MOMO badge on the steering wheel........

Having sat in the MY03 STi at the motorshow I must say that I prefer the Momo wheel in my MY02 STi. The new wheel just looks tacky as does the silver around the speedo and rev counter.

Question

Maybe it is a misprint, cos if it is Momo, it usually says that it is Momo somewhere on the exterior of the car. It doesn't really look like a Momo design, and if prodrive designed it, then odds are it isn't really a Momo?? Can someone please clarify this??
