methanol ? Originally I was looking for some to put in the water injection , but after talking to a drag racer who told me some very interesting facts I'm now considering getting the car mapped to run on methanol .

Christ that was quick , the emissions would not be a problem as the car is tested as a non cat , but how would you get round the fuel duty bit ? Is mathanol classed as a fuel ?

I think the gov'mt clss anything that could be fuel as fuel... sa some people are finding out who run their diesels on vedge oil.

So when I go and buy some I will have to tell them it is going to be used as a fuel will I ? What then will they have to charge me more because of the million % tax on fuels ?

Not at the time of purchase but whenever you do use it as fuel you have to ofcourse declare it.
